Is lodging and travel provided to the in-person event?

No, it is up to you to book your own accommodations and travel arrangements. There are plenty of hotel options at different price points close by. Plus, since the airport you fly into is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), you will find great deals from anywhere in the world.
